I am currently pursuing a Masters of Technology degree in Information Technology at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. I am interested in Machine Learning and Knowledge Representation. Extracting data from unstructured sources and representing them in a knowledge base. This includes Natural Language Processing, Semantic Web, Graphs etc.
Prior to my degree in Information Technology, I completed a Bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering, working with control systems and building systems with electro-mechanical components.
I am pursuing research in Data Science at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. The Semantic Web, Knowledge Representation and Inference problems over arbitrary data sets are my research interests. Currently, I am working largely on structured datasets and associated inferencing and interpretation of knowledge that can be gleaned from datasets on data.gov.in and other public domain. My focus is on developing unique models that can bring Knowledge Representation and Reasoning models, Semantic Web technologies, Machine Learning and Graph Networks together to better understand data
and it’s context.
Prior to entering academics, I was working in the industry. I have over 20 years of IT experience that includes Large Program Management in the Retail, Telecom and Financial domains spanning diverse technologies (Business Intelligence and Analytics, Custom Applications, Managed Services Engagements) worth multi-million dollar revenues & spread across multiple geographies, Customer Acquisition and Retention, Process & Product Quality Assurance across delivery units, Managing Competency Groups / Centre of Excellence and Stakeholder Management covering Finance & Legal units & Partner Ecosystems.
